Operation Karoo Rain

Joined by our friend Dirk from the Netherlands, we finally embarked on a big trip to sort out the Karoo. 

Despite local successes, the overall picture had remained dire with drought conditions persisting over most of this big inner steppe.

I’m going to take you along on a visual journey. Not every picture is there to prove something. Maybe it can give you a glimpse of the beauty of South Africa.   

Going on a gifting expedition is always a great pretext for a road trip to often unknown destinations, a kind of vagabonding. We discover beautiful landscapes and meet wonderful and interesting people along the way.
